The slots ended every month in profit over the last year, sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller. Just take a look at the chart below, which illustrates the performance of slots over the past 12 months of exchange mining. And note, these are total figures – each miner, depending on the start of mining and chosen slots, has of course a different level of appreciation. Some even well over 100%!

Good to know: Miners rotate deposits, so on average they have even higher appreciation than stated above. They may start with CZK 5,000, which they rotate every week, and so in the end they can have the above appreciation up to 4 times higher per month. In addition, the amounts deposited in the slots grow with ongoing returns. #SnowballEffect
July cucumber – seasonality hits the exchange too
Yes, in July we faced lower volatility in most instruments, making their movements harder to predict. The market was mainly controlled by smaller players, while the big ones were less active.
Trend movements were weaker or completely absent, making timing more difficult. Summer might remain a bit of a "cucumber" for a while until a stronger impulse comes, but our dealing team is not idle – they work proactively with the situation and always aim for slots with the best chance to deliver profit. Tip for when the exchange is paying a bit less than usual
Let us remind you that, logically, there is higher success rate – and statistically as well – in those slots that mine the exchange longer, i.e. weekly and monthly slots.
You’ll wait longer for the result, not just a few hours or a day, but the slot manager has more room to trade and wait for a move that is being speculated on. That movement is more likely to occur during the mining period, so the slot is more likely to end up in profit.
We’ve written more about the reasons behind market movements and when they usually occur in this older but still relevant article.
